This is the code of conduct for the Safeguarding Research & Culture community. It applies to our Zulip chat server [TBA] and our shared code repositories, SciOp and Codeberg. Zulip and Codeberg also have their own terms of use.

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Need to message us privately? Join our Tip Line Waiting Room Signal group. An SRC representative will say hi and invite you to a private group where you can ask questions and provide information to us. Your messages will be deleted and your signal user info will not be retained.

Identify at-risk data

We can only safeguard what we know about. Do you work with at-risk data or know people who do? Have you seen articles or social media posts that look like warning signs? Let us know on our chat server, or just create a dataset on SciOp and our team will figure out how to preserve it!

Our archives are vulnerable

No single archive is permanent, nor large enough to store all of our cultures at risk. Modern archival methods are robust, but no archive alone can withstand the multitudes of threats we are currently facing.
